Boats & Beaches – My Home

April Autumn has settled well where I live. Photos taken on my evening stroll last night.

During my walk I realised that my now home is the longest I have lived in since I was 18 years old – 9 years this year.
Being close to and looking at water every day helps me feel grateful for my life.

A life where I made homes in the USA, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, in Australia Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Byron Bay.

It is fifty (50) years this year since I took control of a hot air balloon.

During those years my passion for ballooning has taken to fly in France, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, Austria, Italy; in Canada in Ottawa, St John, Calgary, Red Deer; in Saga Japan and New Zealand. While living in the USA and along with my ballooning I have spent time in 43 US States still to visit Louisiana, Mississippi Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Utah and Oregon.

As I move through these last years of my life my memories are of all those countries, cities and towns I have lived in or visited. The beautiful and friendly people I have met and befriended along the way remain in my heart and thoughts as well.

I promised myself that this year I would dedicate more time and energy to promoting my memoir Conquering Clouds. It feels so rewarding to know that readers have read and enjoyed my writing. I have a couple of upcoming book projects – one in July and another in August – so more on that soon. Copies are available through my website www.ruthwilson.net or from book stores.
