2021 Off To A Positive Direction
March 31, 2021Delta Covid Strain Settles in Australia
July 18, 2021Five months have passed quickly and now it is May in Australia. Autumn colours abound, the nights are getting colder with winter months looming.
Still restricted international travel for Australians. So I spent April driving to Canberra, then to Brisbane, back to Canowindra in Western New South Wales. Finally to Sydney for a family reunion to celebrate 3 birthdays plus Mother’s Day. Driving distance covered was close to 3642 kilometres.
Many highlights during my travels – a family wedding, reunions with close friends along my journey, back to Coopers Shoot where I lived near Byron Bay in the 1990’s. Most special was my biannual ballooning check flight in Canowindra. Thank you to Kevin Cooper who shared that flight with me and signed my hot air pilot log book, now current to fly for another two years.
Found time this week for one day of croquet. On Sunday I will play my first competitive game of the sport. I pray I find harmony with my mallet, the ball and the hoop.
I have been invited to speak at public events in August and October this year so must soon prepare my notes and images. But I dream of foreign travel.
What will the remainder of 2021 bring?
