Conquering Clouds Readers’ Feedback (Late April 2022)

Greetings! I added the initial feedback to my memoir a little earlier but I want to share the latest wonderful comments. My reaction to others’ comments feel appreciative but I ask myself ‘did I do that?’ It’s an awakening for me about my life that I was just busy doing.

I have just finished your inspirational book. It held me enthralled from start to finish and I am left with the question”how has one human packed so much into one lifetime?” It seems that you have lived enough adventure, challenge, triumph and heartbreak for several lifetimes. Some people are driven to succeed because of encouragement. I think your success was due just as much to sheer determination in the face of prejudice and rebellion against narrow minded stereotypes. Most of us would have buckled against the odds but you were spurred on by the impossible to achieve the remarkable, the extraordinary, the life of your dreams.I am in awe of such determination and courage.

The author’s writing style is simple and uncomplicated, and I found the anecdotes funny, gripping, and fascinating. Ruth lays the details of her life bare for all to plainly see. Any reader who has an interest in memoirs, or just a uniquely written book in general, should absolutely give this book a read. You will find it enlightening, and full of details about aspects of life as diverse as the world of pilots to traveling to interesting parts of the world.

Ruth’s passion to never give up and chase your dreams regardless of age and her sheer pleasure in her passion for life and aviation shone through on every page.

This book reminded me that even among all the bad things in the world and one’s life, there are still things to find beautiful and inspirational. I highly recommend.
