My Air Affair

Over 42 years of active flying I have owned 7 hot air balloons. My Air Affair has never diminished. My balloon basket calls so I plan is to spend time flying in the Hunter Valley, on my drive north to Coffs Harbour. Caravan collection will be delayed a few days. My first balloon was sponsored by Tupperware then followed G-VAMP a personal balloon that took me to win the inaugural National Ballooning Championship in 1979. Kellogg’s Just Right followed and flew in the World Championship in Austria in 1987. My golden dolphin balloon Misty Blue was the result of my surviving a marlin fishing boating accident. Odyssey was built and sold and along the way there was the Kodak balloon as well. My current aerostat is Aurora (VH-BJF) 105,000 cubic foot that lifts 6 person pictured flying over Parliament House in Canberra.

My amazing balloons will feature further in my future posts.

What will tomorrow bring?
